The City of Valley is located on the west side of the Chattahoochee River, within driving distance of Atlanta, Montgomery, and the Auburn-Opelika area. A short hour drive to Atlanta allows for easy domestic and international travel for Valley residents.

Valley was created from four textile mill towns combined into one in 1980. Its rich history in the textile industry is something Valley residents are proud of and continue to preserve its hard-working textile traditions, even winning an award from the State Historic Commission.

Along with multiple historic landmarks, Valley treasures the value of the arts. The Valley Arts Council (VAC) works hard to promote local artists and encourages Valley residents to stretch their creative muscles by getting involved in local events and experiences.

Valley’s dedication to historic preservation, diverse recreation, and excellent school system for their community is why the Greater Valley Area says “Life is REALLY greater in the Greater Valley Area.”
